Crazy week

I have had the fortune of working a conference this week. I helped organize it and now get to enjoy the fruits of my labor.

SO I had an Esophogram yesterday. This is a swallow test with a live action x-ray. SO FRICKIN' COOL!!! At first I didn't connect the skull on the monitor as mine. Then I put the first mouthful of Barium in my mouth and I could see my jaw bone adjust on the screen... COOL! I told the doctor it was creepy.

The test was simple fast and painless. I really enjoyed the full experience. I had a great time joking with the doctor and the Nurse. I need to make an appointment with my ENT to figure out what to do next.

See in 2002 my ENT in SLC told me I had Acid Reflux. I assumed it was like my dad, as I ate Tums on a fairly regular basis. I told my doctor in 2002 "thanks for the information." I denied the medication, and went on my merry way.  Come to two months ago when my ENT tells me I have Acid Reflux and I say, "Oh, yea, my doctor in SLC told me that in 2002 and I just ignored him. Really, it is no big deal." "Well," he said laughing, "it is a very big deal."  He finds me HIlarious! That is how I got to see my stomach, and how my tongue helps me swallow. I got to see the barium go down my esophagus, and saw a bit of my ghostly intestines. FACINATING!!!

Maybe you don't think I am taking this whole thing seriously... My thought is why worry before you have to, then how will worrying help me deal with the problem? Honestly... it won't, so why worry??? Worry is a waste of energy. :D

Spoken like a true crazy person.

Hugs to all!
Night.
