Have you REALLY noticed hold music? My music at work is ATROCIOUS. I would want to scream at someone after being on hold for 5 minutes.

Some companies go with 70's easy listening, OR 80's pop. I think they are a safe bet. That era of music is fairly sedate. You wouldn't want heavy metal or crazy plinky music. Don't poke the beast when they are calling to complain about your service.

I once called a company and was on hold for 40 minutes, they had three sentences recorded in the most obnoxious way and it repeated constantly. Never calling that company again...
